i sent my mother, an avid knitter, a link to this pattern back in the spring. i saw it somewhere online (pedantka maybe?) thought of mom's love of texture and socks, and promptly forgot about it.

my pair came in the mail today. wool kneesocks with that hourglass cable the whole way up the back. they fit beautifully. i am mightily pleased. (she says the process was painful and she learned a great deal for the next time, if there is a next time. i really want there to be a next time.)
